The Apple MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz 15.4 inch with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor requires DDR2 PC-5300 SODIMMS. This MacBook Pro model can accept and use a maximum of 4GB of RAM, and comes standard with 2GB. As it comes from the factory, 1X1GB memory modules fill each memory upgrade slot. There are memory upgrade banks available and each bank has one slot available for maximizing the memory in your MacBook Pro. You’lll need to remove the 1×1GB ram that shipped with the computer and upgrade at very least one of the slots with a higher capacity memory module. I recommend maxing out the memory on this MacBook Pro.

Crucial Technology carries memory upgrades for this computer and as I wrote earlier, I’d suggest maxing out the RAM in this MacBook Pro.
A 4GB memory upgrade kit consists of 2x 2GB Memory modules and is priced at $59.99. There’s other upgrade options if you choose though. A 1GB memory module is priced at $17.99, and a 2GB memory module is $29.99. As this model comes standard with 2GB of memory, you could if you choose to only upgrade one memory slot with a 2GB module. This would give you 3GB of memory installled, but for the minimal cost involved I suggest go for the 4GB and max out your computer now.

Edge Tech Corp also carries memory, and like Crucial above has both individual memory modules and memory upgrade kits available. The 4GB memory upgrade kit is priced at $86.03, and the 2GB module is $43.01. Don’t bother with the 1GB as that’s what’s already installed in your computer.

4AllMemory has a full selection of memory upgrades for this computer and the good news is they are all on sale. At time of writing a 2GB memory module is $37.99, and the 4GB memory upgrade kit is $75.98. There’s a 1GB module and a 2GB kit available too, but these won’t do you much good as your computer already has 2GB of memory installed.

Memory Suppliers really only offers one memory upgrade option for this MacBook Pro, and that’s the 2GB memory module at $29 each. I suggest getting 2 of these and maxing out your MacBook Pro, but you could if you prefer only buy one, and upgrade your Apple notebook to 3GB from the standard 2GB.
