The Apple MacBook Pro 15.4 inch 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo requires DDR2 PC-5300 DDR SODIMMS. This MacBook Pro model comes standard with 2GB of RAM installed and will recognize a maximum of 3GB. This MacBook Pro has 2 memory upgrade banks available with 1 slot available for memory upgrades in each bank. Both slots come filled from the factory, so you’ll have to replace one of the memory modules already installed to maximize the memory to 3GB for this particular MacBook Pro Model.
Where to Buy Memory for Apple MacBook Pro 2.33GHz 15.4 inch Intel Core 2 Duo.
Crucial Technology offers a few memory upgrade options for this computer, but the only one you really need to worry about is the 2GB memory module. To max your MacBook Pro out to 3GB of ram from the factory installed 2GB, your only option is to replace one of the factory 1GB modules with a 2GB module which is priced at $29.99.
Edge Tech Corp also offers a few different sizes, but again the only size you need to worry about is the 2GB size, and that’s priced at $43.01 for a 2GB memory module for this particular MacBook Pro model.
4AllMemory offers 1GB and 2GB modules and a 2GB memory upgrade kit, but to get to the 3GB maximum for this MacBook, you only need to concern yourself with the 2GB module which is currently priced at $37.99.
Memory Suppliers only carries 1GB modules as it’s largest size available for this MacBook Pro model. You should already have 1GB installed in each memory upgrade slot, so I can’t recommend replacing one 1GB memory module with another.
